MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission for each and every day camp is for the children to have fun learning how to safely participate in various outdoor activities. We teach our young students that physical activity is exhilarating and essential for healthy lifestyles.
LOCKWOOD VALLEY YOUTH DAY CAMP
GOALS and OBJECTIVES
GOALS
- 1. Teach children a variety of interesting outdoor activities and how to have fun with them.
- 2. Broaden their awareness of how exercise and good health are linked.
- 3. Help give them a better understanding and appreciation of the plants and animals around them.
- 4. Demonstrate that fun and safety do go together.
OBJECTIVES
- Our objectives in offering these camps are to encourage children to be more active as well as exposing them to new activities and skills.
- We do our best to inspire them to appreciate, and preserve nature's animals and plants and the land they thrive in.
- Another important objective is that we strive to bring out in each individual more of an awareness of , who they are and what positive things they are capable of.

Here's some pictures of Girl scout Troop 115 of Granada Hills, California. They came out for a day camp on August 20, 2011. We all had a great time as you can see.
Activities included trail ride, archery, sword play, quintain hitting, nature hike and the first ever dirt ski relay race!
My thanks to Mary Fisher for organizing the group's visit and somehow knowing the girls would have a ball. We hope they can come back another time for more outdoor learning fun and games.
